I'm writing a piece of my life, how it has been unfortunate.
I was born
on January 2, 1972 in Korce, Albania. I finished agriculture
in
University in 1996. At the same time, I lived with my parents
and my
sister. In 1993, my mother got sick and a year later she died.
My
sister, although small, cared for us like a mother. In 1998,
my sister
married and for me and my father life was very hard. The situation
in
Albania was aggravating and the system changed and I had to leave
the
country. I went to a nearby country, Greece. I had a difficult
life
without a green card, without anything. The work that I was supposed
to
do was very hard. At this time, my father lived alone in Albania.
After
5 years, I returned to Albania to get married. I married in 2001
and
together with my wife we returned to Greece. One year later,
I won the
Green Card Lottery to come to America, and at the same time in
September
2002 my son, Viktor, was born. We left Albania to come to America
on
November 28, 2 002. The day we came to America was Thanksgiving
Day. It
was very cold and difficult to find a job. After one month, I
began to
work at Polar Beverages. I didn't have a car but at the house
where I
live, I found a bike. That winter was very cold and supporting
my wife
and son was difficult. One year later, we are happy with our
lives with
my wife, son and my 12 month old daughter, Joanna
