My baby’s name is Rosie. I am proud to let you know how
we got our little one. My husband and I went to this fair called “PET
ROCK” to see if we could find another pet as we just loss
our two lovely dogs (Marty and Coco). So, we went there and we
were both amazed with all of these cute dogs. We visited every
tent or adoption center that had animals that needed to be adopted.
Then, later on they had this parade for all of the animals and
my husband saw these two cute Chihuahuas walking. At that time,
I was interested in looking at these two Pugs that were way too
cute. So, I asked my husband to find the Pug’s center so
that we could get some information on how to adopt them.
Finally, we found the place and we saw more
Pugs playing in their cage. People were having fun playing with
them. On the
other side of the tent there were two cute Chihuahuas. It was
Ralph and Rosie that my husband saw at the parade. I went to
see them and all of the sudden I fell in love with them. I asked
the person in charge if I could hold them and take pictures with
them. Thereafter, we asked the same person what the requirements
were for adopting them. My husband and I kept sending them emails
to follow-up and tell them that we were very interested in adopting
Rosie and Ralph. Every now and then I kept checking my emails
to see if I had any reply from the adoption center. It took months
before they decided to visit our house for inspection. On that
day… it was our luckiest day! September 18, 2002 we had
finally got the cutest babies of them all, Ralph and Rosie!
The first day with them was very difficult
for us because they were both crying. So, my husband and I tried
our best to calm
them down and show them that we loved them. We wanted them to
be part of our lives. It did not take to much more time for them
to accept us; they were both happy and knew that they would be
with us for the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, five months
later Ralph passed away because of a heart problem but at least
he knew that we loved him and he was very happy with us. Now,
we only have Rosie and she is still our baby! We love her like
our own child and she also feels the same way. This is the story
of our cute little babies.
